On March 31, 2025, the 12th Civil Court of Santiago upheld the enforcement lawsuit filed by TRANSBIAGA CHILE SpA against NORDEX ENERGY CHILE SpA, ordering the latter to pay CLP $1,027,127,165 (approximately USD 1,099,000), plus interest and legal costs.
This ruling, issued in the first instance, is the first judgment among the various ongoing proceedings for similar claims in countries such as Chile, Peru, Brazil, and Spain. For TRANSBIAGA, this outcome represents more than a financial achievement: it is an act of reparation for our name, reputation, and commitment to our employees and creditors.
Over the past two years, we have faced a complex situation stemming from NORDEX's breach of contractual obligations with firmness and composure. Despite having turned to various mechanisms, our priority has always been transparency, justice, and respect for those who have placed their trust in us.
TRANSBIAGA reaffirms its commitment to creating local value, respecting small and medium-sized enterprises, and maintaining ethical business practices. This court decision marks a first step in the vindication of these principles, in contrast to other practices that fall short of the standards that any responsible international company should uphold.
A word to the wise.
