Wind turbine erection with tower crane in Borja 2018/01/22

Recently, TRANSBIAGA has accomplished a very special wind tower generator assembly in Borja, Zaragoza (Spain).
The turbine, a Gamesa’s G114 of 2,5MW erected on a 156m high steel tower, becomes the highest wind turbine erected in Spain.
For the assembly of this turbine it has been used the new Liebherr 1000 EC-B 125 tower crane, which with it’s 125t of maximum load capacity it is the largest crane of it’s type. This crane allows works with up to 18 m/s winds thanks to it’s tower bracing system.
Teamwork has been fundamental in this project, and TRANSBIAGA has used specialized crew in transport, cranes and assembly to be able to assemble and operate this crane.
